DISPERSION

Though Nigeria’s state creation divided Ogbaru towns and villages across Anambra, Delta, and Rivers States, it did not diminish our shared identity or unwavering unity. This enduring connection is our strength, and we will leverage this strength to build a more prosperous and vibrant homeland.

OUR ASSOCIATION

Ogbaru National Association – USA is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to fostering unity among Ogbaru people worldwide and promoting the development of Ogbaru Nation through collaborative action.

THE OGBARU NATIONAL ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Investing in Ogbaru’s future, one scholar at a time: Our flagship program, the Ogbaru National Association Scholarship Program (established in 2010) has empowered students pursuing engineering, social/medical sciences, and liberal arts in Nigerian tertiary institutions.

This is just the beginning; we believe that education is the key to unlocking Ogbaru’s potential, and we’re committed to expanding this vital program to reach even more deserving students. Our long-term vision includes exploring additional initiatives to address critical needs within our community and build a brighter future for Ogbaru Nation.

PROJECTS

Driven by a spirit of service and a deep love for Ogbaru Nation, we are thrilled to share the impact of our collective efforts! We are profoundly grateful for the opportunity to serve. Through the unwavering dedication of our members, we’ve brought meaningful change to our Ogbaru communities back home.

We’ve brought the gift of clean water through borehole construction. Our members’ generous hearts have also furnished schools with essential chairs and tables, creating brighter learning environments. In times of need, we’ve stood shoulder-to-shoulder, extending support for flood relief. These achievements are powerful reminders of what we can accomplish when united by a shared purpose.

We invite you to be a part of this inspiring journey of unity and development, building a brighter future together.

Welcome to Legendary Heart of Ogbaru: Where Hospitality Shines.

Welcome to the Ogbaru Nation: A Legacy of Resilience, Richness, and Warmth.

The spirit of the Ogbaru people flows as dynamically as the River Niger itself. While our ancestral lands stretch across what are now modern states like Anambra, Delta, and Rivers, our true identity is woven into the very fabric of River Niger. Historically, this majestic river has been the lifeblood of our communities, shaping our daily existence, serving as our primary highway for trade and connection, and nurturing our livelihoods through abundant fishing and fertile farming.

We are a proud people, deeply rooted in this heritage. Known for our strength as fisher-folk, farmers, and historical warriors, we carry a legacy of resilience that has weathered the tides of time. Yet, it is our legendary hospitality that truly defines us – a warmth that echoes in every testimony from those who encounter us, a pride that binds all Ogbaru people together. This spirit of generosity, nurtured by the river that sustains us, is the foundation of our vibrant community.

From the Eastern Banks of the River Niger in Anambra State – including towns like Atani, Ohita, Ossomala, and many more – to the Western Banks in Delta State, encompassing Oko, Utchi, Aboh, and others, and extending to Ndoni in Rivers State, our communities are vibrant centers of culture and tradition.

We invite you to connect with us. Let’s come together to celebrate our unique culture, foster unity, and champion the continued development and recognition of the Ogbaru Nation.
